#150: Odd jobs, painful facts, and finding your path

After having a dream career in the NFL I was stuck trying to figure out what was next in my life. I tried to do what other people thought would be a good fit for my career path. But the first thing I should have done was find out exactly who I was!

  • Ask yourself questions surrounding the impact that you want to have and to whom you want to impact.
  • Sometimes we need to hear painful facts to push us.
  • It's okay to gain experience by doing odd jobs that wouldn't be your first pick.
  • If you have a chance to shadow people in their jobs, take it!
  • Lean on relationships that can open up doors for yourself.
  • Own who you are and know your character.
