NFL veteran Anthony Newman | Avoiding the professional athlete curse

My guest this week is Anthony Q. Newman who played 12-years in the NFL (Rams, Saints, & Raiders) and is now a talk show host and radio personality. Before that, he was a highly decorated college football player out of the University of Oregon (Go Ducks). Anthony shares some poignant moments when he finished playing professionally and the curse that many professional athletes have to battle when they are done playing their sport. Anthony was inspired at a young age to give back to the athletes in Oregon. Since realigning himself and what his new passion is, he has had an amazing amount of success. Have a listen to his journey.

What we discussed:

  • The importance of doing the "homework" when it comes to relationships
  • Moments when you were told you weren't good enough
  • The reason why most people view passion as anger
  • The biggest difference between good & bad leadership
  • A conversation with Al Davis that created a fan for life
  • How to align your passion with your purpose
